Storing an Opened Bottle of Wine

No matter whether you’re using wine for cooking or drinking, sometimes you have some left over; or so I’ve heard, anyway! My genetics have taught me to leave no man behind!

Anyway, you need to put the cork back in it first thing! If you’ve thrown away your cork, there are handy little things called wine stoppers. Stock up on a few. I found mine down the wine aisle in my local grocery store.

After replacing the cork (or putting the wine stopper in) it depends on the type of wine you’re storing when it comes to what to do next.

If it is a white wine, put it in the refrigerator.

If it is a red, store at room temperature.

Make sure that you finish the wine as soon as you can as wine quality changes very quickly!
